We at Anglers Outfitters would like to thank the fine men and women of the Lake St Clair Walleye Association (LSCWA) for their generosity and support for our community fish cleaning station. They came out on sat aug 27th and spent the day here at Anglers, in the heat, to put on one of the best fish frys I have ever attended! I was blown away by the organization of this club. Monday Eve I was able to get out fishing with my friend Duane. I had some new fish attractant I wanted to test and decided this would be as good a time as any.  We had been hearing that the bite north of St Clair was good so we headed north to fish harnesses. I had a conversation this weekend with a couple of fishermen about cleaning fish and transporting fish. They were ticketed for being in possession of mutilated fish.  The ticket was not because they did not know how to clean fish and did a lousy job of filleting ( a ticketable offense in my book ), they were ticketed because they stopped at the fish cleaning station in Port Huron and cleaned their fish and then continued on to the boat ramp to exit the river. A DNR officer gave them a ticket for cleaning their fish before leaving the river....
