Well it looks like the ramp in St Clair was finally pulled today. You could launch out of the west side of the ramp if you need to but it is a little harder. There is still the short, permanent dock there that is part of the canoe/kayak launch.  With the cold that moved in over the weekend I am starting to get reports of ice forming in the cuts and canals but it is going to be a few days yet before anyone is safely fishing any ice. Fall Perch fishing in Erie

Those of you that know me know how much I love to fish for Walleye and I hardly think about anything else. Well, one of my fishing partners Duane talked me into going to Erie for perch. Fall Fishing is Fast and Furious!

Fall Fishing. What else can I say. Some of the best fishing can be found this time of year and it seems to be a well kept secret. From shore or boat it doesnt matter. The variety of fish in the river is at its highest all year and you really do not know what you will reel in.  Saturday afternoon I got a report of nice size walleye out in the middle of the river out in front of the store. There is a hole out there that goes from 37' to 48' in the blink of an eye....

Averys Fishing Trip
